Happy Holidays 2022

Dear All,

Wishing you a happy holiday and a happy new year! This year, we are so grateful to have spent more time with friends and family.

Isabelle is enjoying her 2nd grade time and started to learn tennis again. She still loves to read and is making her way to Harry Potter collection books.

Alexander is doing well in 1st grade. He finished his peanut allergy desensitization program and can now eat anything he likes. He is also applying his jolt of energy into basketball, soccer and tennis.

This year we have travelled to Yosemite together in the summertime; and are spending the holiday break with Ivana's family who are visiting from Indonesia.

We hope to see you soon in 2023 and wish you a happy holiday!

Happy Holidays 2021

Dear All,

Wishing you a happy holiday and a happy new year! We are so thankful to be safe and healthy during this time. This year, we have been inching out of our bubbles. We made a day trip to Angeles Mountains to have the kids sledding and we took the kids to Disneyland (it was Alexander’s first time).

Isabelle is thriving in 1st grade. She is starting to love piano again with the help of her new teacher. She still loves to read and just started the first two books of Harry Potter.

Alexander graduated from his preschool and started Kindergarten in the fall. Alexander is almost done with his peanuts desensitization program and he is eating 20 peanuts a day. Both kids started playing soccer with AYSO again.

Arthur and Ivana have gotten to the groove of working from home. We also celebrated our 10 year wedding anniversary and went on a trip to Santa Fe, NM.

We hope to see you all soon in 2022 and wishing everyone a safe holiday.

Arthur, Ivana, Isabelle (7) and Alexander (5)

Happy Holidays 2020!

Dear Friends and Family,

Wishing you a safe holiday in 2020! This year especially, we really miss spending time with you!

Both Arthur & I transitioned to working from home in March and we finally set up a second office for Arthur (best corner on the house - overlooking our backyard). We are juggling working, parenting and managing kids' virtual zoom. Thankful for all the help we have from friends and family.

Isabelle (6 yo) transitioned to Zoom in March and started Kindergarten virtually in the Fall. She started in person school once a week in December. More than ever, she continues her love for reading and we have to constantly peel her away from her Dory Fantasmagory and Fly Guy books.

Alexander (4.5 yo) continues at Manhattan Beach Preschool in person throughout the year and enjoys playing with his friends at school. He loves showing us how fast he runs and has a keen eye for building his legos. In eight weeks time, he will finally start his introduction to a small amount of peanut to manage his peanut allergy.

We had many trips planned and cancelled in 2020 and we are spending a lot of family time together in 2020 at home, picking up food to go and having picnics outdoors, swimming during the summer and going to the beach a lot more.

We hope you are enjoying your holiday and looking forward to kicking COVID out of the way and slowly transitioning to a normal life.

Love,

Ivana, Arthur, Isabelle and Alexander

Happy holidays 2019!

Dear Friends and Family,

Wishing you lots of love and joy in this holiday season! As always, we are so grateful to spend time with you this past year!

Isabelle (5 yo) has started Transitional Kindergarten at our local public school and she really loves her new friends and teacher. She is mastering swimming without floaties this summer and loves her soccer teammates. She loves doing arts and crafts and is a voracious reader.

Alexander (3.5 yo) moved to a new preschool where Isabelle was at last year. He loves playing with his friends and is still working on listening to his teachers. He just started a Tolerance Induction Program in Long Beach to desensitize his allergy to peanuts. He loves playing with his toy fire trucks and airplanes.

In March 2019, we went to Italy alongside Ivana's family from Indonesia as well as Arthur's parents to visit Rome, Florence, Venice, Milan. We had a great time eating pasta, pizza and gelato.

Just for fun, we have documented our yearly digital greeting cards on our blog here.

We hope you are enjoying your holiday and looking forward to spending more time with you in 2020!

Love,

Ivana, Arthur, Isabelle and Alexander

Happy Holidays 2018!

Dear Friends and Family,

Wishing you lots of love and joy in this holiday season! As always, we are so grateful to spend time with you this past year!

Isabelle (4 yo) moved to a new preschool in July and she has really blossomed at school and has started talking more to her teachers and classmates. She also still takes ballet, swim and Chinese lessons.

Alexander (2.5 yo) is starting preschool in January 2019 and both Arthur and Ivana are dreading dropping him off on his first day of school. He has really expanded his vocabulary by learning and listening to his big sister. He loves garbage truck, construction sites and anything cars.

This year, Ivana & Arthur did an adult-no-kids trip for Arthur's birthday to French Laundry in Napa. We also did a family vacation to San Diego and a stay-cation around Los Angeles with the Darmawans and visited Legoland & Great Wolf Lodge (indoor swimming pool and hotel) with Mom Susan and Dad James Wang.

We hope you are enjoying the holiday and we are looking forward to spending more time together in 2019.

See you soon,

Arthur, Ivana, Isabelle & Alexander.

Happy Holidays 2017!

Dear Friends and Family,

Wishing you lots of love and joy in this holiday season! As always, we are so grateful to spend time with you this past year!

Isabelle (3 yo) started preschool in July and she really enjoys spending time with her friends and teachers. She has also started taking ballet classes and Chinese school.

Alexander (17 months) is starting to show his personality (very sweet and yet stubborn). His first sounds were "Baa" and "Eeh". His first real word is "Mama" and he is definitely a mommy's boy.

We did a family trip to Japan and Taiwan to see Ivana's family and Arthur's family. It was a great trip where we had fun as foodies while also better understanding what a family vacation is really about.

Arthur has been taking public transportation all year and is enjoying not driving to work.

Ivana is still working in Glendale although she works from home two to three times a week. She relaunched Kasih Coop (link here) to sell handmade Indonesian ikat pouf and pillowcase that she designs and makes with her family in Indonesia.

We hope you have a great holiday and can't wait to see what 2018 brings us.

See you soon,

Arthur, Ivana, Isabelle and Alexander

Happy Holidays 2016!

Dear Friends and Family,

Wishing you lots of love, joy and happiness in this holiday season! We are so grateful to have spent 2016 with you.

This year has brought a lot of blessings with the arrival of Alexander, moving to our home in Manhattan Beach close to Arthur's parents, having my family visited us from Indonesia and Isabelle turning two years old.

We can't wait to see what 2017 brings us and we look forward to spending even more time with you.

Love,

Arthur, Ivana, Isabelle and Alexander
